My Journey to Herbalism

My name is Hannah Lazo, and my journey to herbalism is one of deep transformation and purpose. After working as a Senior Product Manager at a Fortune 50 company, I found myself yearning for something more fulfilling—something that aligned with my passion for natural health and empowered myself and others to live in harmony with our bodies and the Earth.

I began studying herbalism, initially interested exclusively in the therapeutic nature of herbs, hoping mostly to help myself out of a deep depression. During a road trip one summer, when I was at my lowest, a series of synchronistic encounters with roses along my route unexpectedly softened my heart, eased my bitterness, and helped me visualize a life full of joy—something that had felt completely beyond hope. That experience made it clear that the influence of herbs goes far beyond the medicinal—they connect with us on spiritual and energetic levels that are equally powerful. This realization deepened my commitment to working with plants as allies in healing and self-discovery.

Leaving behind a corporate career and starting Lazobota wasn’t just about walking away from one life—it was about stepping into a truer one. My work now reflects a desire to live authentically, embracing the wisdom of plants and helping others do the same.
